Windows 7 Search

Widows 7 search will not find any files in my Documetns folder. I have
rebiuilt the index, checked to make sure Windows Search is on. If I copy a
file to c:/temp, it finds it. Is there a fix for this? I've installed a
search program called Everything, but it doesn't search for text inside a
text file, and the Widnow 7 search *should* work.

uo with (Vista had to have _something_ good). I wish it could be ported
to W7 to replace that nightmare of a search engine.

I much prefer the XP search engine: you tell it what filename to search for,
what text (if any) within the file you want to search for, and where to
search. And it finds everything.

Vista and Windows 7 seem to find things if they feel like it, and only if
the folders are in the index.

For absolute certainty that I've found all the matching files, I tend to
open a CMD prompt, run dir /s > dir.txt and then search dir.txt with
notepad.

I have it, and I don't care very much for it.
