He or she misspelled "KEVIN"...which is what's wrong with the filter,
probably.

Beat me to it! (Incidentally, in TBird I usually let the message
generate its own filter just to avoid that sort of mistake. Don't know
if Win Mail has that capability.)

Just avoid reading that post.
Simple.
As a visual aid, in the watched items columns, you may select ignore, to
remind your daft ass not to read that thread.

Kill-filing him will just leave orphaned postings that you will end up
reading anyway, or kill-filing even more people.
And if you are using USENET to generate an enormous KF, then you are
stranger than the poster you are KFing.
At that point, use a web forum, and allow even goofier people to decide whom
to KF.

Which if Winmail is anything like OE, doesn't actually "ignore" the
thread - it just greys it out, unlike TBird where the ignore command
means the thread isn't even visible...

Notice I said "as a visual aid".
These morons must read at a 3 word per minute pace if it really is so
bothersome.

OK, then, you owe me a beer :)

I don't do a lot of filters, so I can afford to be careless, and that way I
don't have to learn how to do what you suggest. Actually, the few times
I've tried to use "make filter from message", the program I used didn't do
very well. But it's been a couple of years, so I have forgotten which
program(s) I tried that on. BTW, TB is my mail program too.

Windows Live Mail *can* hide ignored threads, just like OE could hide
ignored threads.
