Where is the list of News Groups......what happened to them???

[Docster]

Can anyone tell me what happened to the selection of news groups e.g.,
Internet Explorer, Outlook Express, Word, Power Point, Outlook, etc. for
WinXP?
I just came back to the News.Microsoft.Com and most of what I am use to
seeing is gone.

They are being removed from the MS servers.

You can still access the groups on some non-MS servers such as Eternal

Get a professional-quality news server such as http://individual.net rather
than that cheap M$ crap for the sheep that's trying to herd them into the
brainwashing of the web forums.

Won't make much difference since there are few postings and replies on the
MS newsgroups anymore. People are migrating.

Would you care to elaborate a little on "migrating". Does this mean the are
using other operating systems and no longer engaged with Microsoft or
windows and windows based problems?

Percentages are misleading as you aren't figuring in the fact that more
machines are sold each month and the quantity of OSes is more for all
OSes. Nor are you figuring in the fact that most laptops and name brand
desktops come with Windows 7 preinstalled which indicates that people
are being forced to use Windows unless they are tech savvy enough to
know how to install Linux and, as you well know, most people aren't. In
short, you're misleading at best and a lying weasel at worst.
