The search that is found when you right click on the start menu.

I would like to create a link to the search function on the quicklaunch
toolbar. What is the exe file for search or how can I create a shortcut to
it on the toolbar?

It uses Explorer.exe
Why not just press Ctrl+F or Winkey+F ?
