What is 'Status Disk and click?'

Hi:
Recently, I'm getting the following message on my PC after having let it sit
more than one month's period.
--------------------------------
Insert Status disk and 'click.'

Use Source "1" and 'OK."
----------------------------------

How to get rid of this, annoying message in the middle of the screen when
I'm doing some other stuff on this PC?

Thanks for your help in advance.

The problem seems to be associated with HP printer software,
and some status function it installs.

You may have removed the printer driver, and that status thing
got left behind. Some people here, managed to stop the madness,
using their HP printer driver CD. You should not need a
"registry cleaner" or the like, to fix this.
