Hello everyone
I need some help.

A few weeks ago i opened a ppt file from my disk on key ,i lost my disk on key but the presentation i was working on appears on the 'recent documents' when i try to open it ,and view it i get the : ''path or file name is incorrect or invalid'' , since it's looking for the disk .

my question is can i somehow view this file ? is it stored somewhere on my computer ? my os is xp media center .

this presentation is very important to me , any help will be greatly appreciated .

If the only place that file existed was on the "disk on key", you don't
have a copy of it any more. In the future don't edit directly from
removable media, only from the hard drive and copy to media for
transport or backup. As to clearing the nonexistent file from the
listing, set "Show this number of Recent Documents" to a number less
than where the file in question appears on the list. You will find that
setting in Word Options, Advanced, Display.
