It's not much of a gamble...many have one screw and it pulls-out.
Some have an adapter that pulls-off and goes on the new drive.

Just wanna be sure, so I want a diagram. Traps like wires connecting the
board with the plastic cover could ruin the day....

Sorry, didn't know you were talking about a real assembly plant.

I don't like traveling into China. :)

And in the age of internet, all manuals should just be allowed to download.

This one only talked about swapping the CPU & RAM, not hard disks. CPU &
RAM has their own cover-plates at the bottom of the machine. I suspected
the hard disk was on the front side, according to another Lifebook's
instructions (not A6030).

BTW, I emailed Fujitsu.

Naw... Shaun and Bob are that way everyday. Say I didn't find anything
in that user's manual about replacing the hard drive, did you?

Yup, I can see why anybody would want directions to remove those hard
drives. Not the easiest thing in the world to replace. :-(

But you are a "smart ass' by Bill's definition; You don't take everything
that he says as gospel, ergo you're a smart ass. (I never did get the whole
US infatuation with clever donkeys....)

Actually 'smart arse' originated as a British vulgarity. Americans
corrupted it to 'smart ass'. Since the American-English word 'ass' has
more than one meaning it often confuses the Brits and their cousins.
Rest assured that Bill was not referring to you as a donkey... ;)

I know, I use it regularly. In fact I was being a smart arse.

Heh! I'm not confused, I just dislike what the Merkins have done to the
English language. I mean look what they did to the fine British word
'fanny'!

<g> Yeah, I realise that Bill likely has more interest in arses than he does
in donkeys. ;-)

I thought, what the heck is a 'Merkin'?? So I looked it up and found
out that it is a pubic wig. Here's a picture:

Then it dawned on me that a Merkin was an American... ;)
