Updating XP on 2 computers

I have 2 computers at home each with its own OEM license.
I only have a dialup connection ( a bad one at that) for getting the
updates from Microsoft.
I have been able to keep the O/S updated with some difficulty and much
connection time with this lousy dialup connection.

Here is the question:
Is there some way that I can update the O/S of second computer from
the downloads that are supposedly saved on the first computer?

If you have downloaded the original exe files then yes otherwise try using
autopatcher from here:

http://www.autopatcher.com/downloads/

You will need to save the downloaded files on external HD or 4gb flash
drive.

My honest opinion is that you don't need any updates post SP3 because these
updates only protects you by slowing down your system!

I have not bothered to download any updates post SP3 and M$ is not going to
provide any new functionalities in these updates.

No, it doesn't help at all. You're playing with fire by not installing
updates and you should be ashamed of advising others to make the same
mistake as you are.

Why should I be ashamed of anything? M$ has been updating its flagship
operating system for the past 10 years and still it is not secure. This
only confirms that there is no evidence that regular updates is making
the system any more secure than SP3.

The idea of releasing regular updates is to create an illusion in the
minds of large scale users that M$ is looking after them. It is all
bullshit.

Have you updated your system with all the updates since SP3? GOOD FOR
YOU if you have.
