Unwanted Icon (favicon)

I am running IE8 on Windows 7 Ultimate.

I have a website I buillt some time ago which, up to now, has always
displayed its correct icon (favicon) in front of its URL address on the
brower's address bar. Suddenly it shows the "Ask" icon from the Ask search
engine. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it?

I have checked on other PCs and they all display correct icon. It would seem
to be just my browser. The "Ask" icon is not on the server.

TIA for any help.

Probably it helps to clear out all history and temporary internet files...

I am really red faced - so embarrassed. Without thinking, I just posted
here without trying anything. Thanks for pointing it out so gently.

Best wishes.

Ed.
