Am having problems attempting to display web pages such as, Dell driver
downloads and Encarta rightclick dictionary along with many others.
Also a very minor problem that some windows do not maximize.
Other than that the machine works fine.
I have just installed IE8 and am wondering if this is the problem.?
Am up to date on XP. priority updates. Appreciate any helpful info. solving
this problem.
TIA

Did these issues exist prior to installing IE8 ?

Was the antivirus disabled prior to doing the above ?
If not, then suggest you uninstall IE8, completely and totally disable
the AV, and then reinstall IE8.

Thanks for your response Mow
I was not trying to access these web pages prior to installing IE8.
I also did not turn off my AV prior to installing IE8.
I will try your suggestion and return with the results ASAP.

Hi again
Sorry for the late response..
Have uninstalled IE8 and am presently with IE7 which seems to be a little
faster.
Problem still there. Although it has no meaningful effect on use of
the computer, am just interested in finding out if/how the problem
can be solved. Thanks again
