Celebrate or ignore?
The new WordPress default theme, named
Twenty Twelve, is available for everyone hosting their own WordPress installations. The theme was originally released only for the WordPress.com sites.
The 2012 theme for WordPress is a fully responsive theme that looks great on any device. Features include a front page template with a its own widgets, an optional display font, styling for post formats on both index and single views, and an optional no-sidebar page template. Make it yours with a custom menu, header image, and background.
While I will not immediately use the theme, it will be exciting to watch others modify the theme as they ask questions and answers in the WordPress dedicated forums.
Important Notice: This theme is for WordPress 3.4.2 or higher.
