I wanted to know why I can't run Office 2007. I have downloaded it and an
old version of microsoft student comes up and says that it has expired. I
don't want the student version but it came with my computer. I just want to
try out the trail. I have my product key.

You have your product key then clearly you are a lucky one
around. I must do my best to get you sorted out.

First uninstall all trial versions from your system by going to
Control Panel/Ad/Remove and selecting everything that resembles
Office 2007. Please also remove any Activation Wizard if listed
    separately in Add/Remove program list.

Now reboot your system so that it loads all the necessary services
that may have been disturbed by Add/Remove actions.

Now try to install your Trial version of Office 2007.

    Gary,

I would suggest - uninstall Office 2007 and the student version - be sure
and reboot - then reinstall the Office 2007 trial version.

Once a 2007 trial has expired you cannot download and activate a new 2007
trial, even if a different version
