When you have the player minimized and the toolbar showing whenever a song switches or when you mouse over the toolbar a notification box pops up displaying what song is playing. Is there a way to disable that notification or to move where it pops up at? I'm using WMP11 with Win XP SP3.

Yes - you can disable the toolbar itself (for starters) as it sounds (sic) like this isn't something you want at all. In a blank part of the taskbar, to the left of the click - right click, and from the menu shown select Toolbars, then uncheck the "Windows media player toolbar" This feature was removed anyway in windows 7 / WMP12 so it won't bother you any more if you update from XP. If you want the toolbar player but *not* the popup, ZachD's site indicates some changes you can (carefully) make to the Windows registry using regedit : http://zachd.com/pss/pss.html#deskband "Can I change the timeout for the pop-up (toast) window in the taskbar player? " : Set the value to 0x0 as shown, to prevent the flyout/popup HTH Cheers - Neil ------------------------------------------------ Digital Media MVP : 2004-2010 http://mvp.support.microsoft.com/mvpfaqs
