The Value of Coupons

I've never been a fan of coupons. They are usually tossed away.

Lately, Elizabeth has been enjoying a new way of shopping - just looking for the best deals and only buying those items. She's usually saving 60-75% on items.

Tonight we went on a Chips Ahoy shopping spree. How much do you think we spent? Find out the answer below the image.

What did you think? If you guessed Free then you are correct.

Here is how it worked. We spent an initial $4.00 on four packages. The cashier prints out a $4 manufacturer's coupon. We circled back, picked up four more and returned to the cash register. In turn, gave the $4 coupon and another $4 coupon printed out. We ended up going to a second store because the first store was out of the product. We ended the evening with a $4 coupon still available to us.

Am I a fan now of coupons? What do you think?!
