System Volume Info query

I have One drive with two partitions on one of which sits the Operating
System whilst the other contains all the data.

On the OS drive there is a System Volume Information folder which I guess is
normal.

There is also a System Volume folder on this data partition. Surely this is
not nomal ? I have no idea how it got there and would like to get rid of it,
but just like the real one it says Access Denied. Is there some way to
delete this folder ?

It only explains half of the story... the folder is used by several
other services.
