System Restore & Office 2007

I did a restore a week ago hoping that it would clear up an IE problem I was
having. The restore worked, except that.....

Now when I try to open an image using Microsoft Office Picture Manager the
system goes through the whole "Configuring Office 2007" screen then the
windows installer starts. After doing this 2 - 3 times for each image that I
try to open before the image actually opens. This same sequence happens
every time I try to open an image. This all happens as if office had never
been installed. The system restore was from about a month ago. I installed
office @ 2 years ago.

I initially tried the "Repair" function to no avail. I then uninstalled
office and restarted. Installed it again and restarted. The same thing
described above is still happening.

I assume that there is a registry issue; I just don't know how to find it.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for any constructive
