I've picked up a couple of cookies identifying themselves as surveymonkey.
Deleting my temporary internet files, and all other cookies, nevertheless
leaves these untouched, as does attempting to delete them individually. Can
anyone advise how to get shot of them?
Thanks

Try downloading and installing the CCleaner utility from
www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner.

Configure the program via the Options / Cookies menu, to keep
those Cookies you want to preserve. Leave the remaining cookies
in the Cookies to Delete list.

Click on the Cleaner icon (the icon looks like a brush). Check
the relevant boxes, to select the cleaning options that you want
to perform. Then, click on Run Cleaner. I have found that
CCleaner is far more efficient than the standard History deletion
functions of Internet Explorer.

However, CCleaner also includes an optional Registry Cleaner
function. There is no need to scan or clean your registry and
most experts advise against the use of ANY registry cleaner.
Consequently, you use the optional Registry Cleaning function at
your own risk.

Thanks - I'll give that a try.

No - that didn't get rid of them (there are two). I've emailed
surveymonkey.com and will hope to post a response from them in due course.

Another issue arose which I resolved by using System Restore to a previous
restore point - and that enabled me to delete the unwanted cookies.
So sorted! But thanks, Bob, for your recommendation. Ccleaner certainly has
some advantages, and I shall be using that in future.
