Nobody can help you "fix it", as M$ is unable to run any program "in the
background" unless that program is a "service".

If you gave some some specifics about your issue instead of such arm-waving
generalities, someone might be able to help you better understand your
problem and its potential causes.

You're laboring under at least one misconception, probably more.

Somebody just took me for a ride over my English when it was just a typo.
But "potential" sir is in the future whereas the chap's problem is based on
something that was done in the past. So how can that be "potential"?

Somebody's girl friend turned him down and he took it out on me and I am
taking it out on you.

And WHO are you going to take it out on?! ;-)

No, sir, I am neither angry nor a faggot but you certainly seem to be the
latter AND what's more someone with a single cell passing for a brain!

there are a number of
reasons why windows
would stall or freeze.

what you might try is a
freeware that either
optimizes memory or
defrags it.

what it will do is to unload
unused dll's from memory
for programs that are no
longer running.

what is hoped to be
accomplished is that if
unused dll's are unloaded
then your system will have
more ram to run programs.

as a suggestion,

most of these types of
freeware want to install at
boot time or continuously run in
memory.

however, I recommend that
you run and then close the
freeware manually and run on
a as needed basis like before
you launch problematic
programs or after you close
them.

These 'memory optimizers' or 'memory defragers' are nothing but pure
snake oil!

Using the caps-lock certainly won't make the caps key sink in any deeper on
the keyboard except while you're pressing it.
