Start-up sound

I've done all the online research on changing sound /task associations and
it seems that Windows 7 defaults to the default Windows start-up theme every
time. You can change the association, but as soon as you reboot, it goes
back to the default .wav. Has anyone found a way around that?

The Windows start-up sound file is embedded into a system dll.
To change the sound you would have to edit the system file with a resource editor and
replace the wav file.

Alrighty then. That one's WAY out of my league. I know my limitations. Thank
you.
