sp3 killed my xp pro

would only boot to a blank screen after download failed during final
instalation phase. had to do a clean install. ie and firefox consistantly
crash then after reboot they run fine. scared of sp3 now!

No, you botched it most likely - because you didn't read the
requisites & what to do before installing it would be my
guess.
