Southern California is prone to daily earthquakes with most never large enough for residents to feel. However, anything near a 4 or above can knock items off of shelves. Today's 3.8 was two miles northwest of Devore California, located in the Inland Empire.

The jolt was a rather quick compared to rolling quakes. No damage was reported.
