How come the song titles from CD's that I rip to my computer don't come up?
Do I have a security button on?

The song titles come from an online database run by the company AMG
(all music guide), so WMP needs to connect to the internet to be able
to retrieve the song info.

If you're not currently getting album updates when you Rip a CD, first
make sure WMP is able to connect to the internet - in IE Browser, head
to File menu and make sure 'Work Offline' is not checked (this affects
both WMP and IE)

Also, in WMP, click the Options menu : on WMP11, click the small
dropdown menu below Library to find 'More Options'. On windows 7
(WMP12) click the Organize button, then choose Options from there.

Head to the Library tab. Make sure "Retrieve additional information
from the internet" and "Only add missing information" are checked.

Now, on the Privacy tab, make sure "Display media information frmo the
Internet" and "Update music files by retrieving media info from the
internet" are both checked.

Try ripping a new album to see if that helps.

Next, head to the Album view (Library -> Music -> Album) not the
Artist view

If you then find an album in your library which you ripped, but that
doesn't (yet) have the album info - i.e. it shows "Unknown Album",
right-click the album icon and try doing "Find Album Information" from
the popup menu.

Then if there's no match, try doing a Search... for the album name
That should update the album information correctly when you OK the
album it shows,.

If it doesn't update the album, you may have a corrupted media library
(which is recoverable without re-ripping) but try the steps above
first
