Sleep Mode Issues

I have been using Windows 7 for several months and generally like it.
However, the sleep mode does not work consistently. It works for a
few days, then stops working. In that time period, I have not gone
into control panel and changed anything - it simply stops working. I
can go in control panel, make any change, and it will start working
again for a few days. My other concern is how to set up sleep mode so
that mouse movement wakes the computer. Obviously, I like this
feature and want it to work properly. Any suggestions?

Don't know about your sleep issue, but in regards to allowing the mouse to
wake the computer:

Go into device manager, and then find your mouse under mice and other
pointing devices.
Right click on the mouse, click on properties, then go to the power
management tab.
Put a checkmark in " allow this device to wake the computer".

Hope this helps,
