Setting up OneNote Pages for Printing

I want to set up some OneNote pages as an 8.5x11 printable template. I want
to write a book chapter all on ;one' OneNote page. I find when I pass the
8.5x11 print surface the background is gray and while I can continue to write
the white "note-taking" surface is gone. I have set my paper sizes to 8.5x11
as that is the format I want when printing out the text but how can I set the
'writing surface' within the page to become viewable??? (I tried adjusting
the note frames but that doesn't work.)

Can a OneNote page expand beyond the margins of the page setup margins
(writing forever like a Word document but then having the text printable on
regular 8.5x11 paper)???

Thanks!

I covered part of this in the last half of this blog:

Overall, though, the best thing to do is to resize the outlines so they fit
on the white surface, and then print preview before printing. If you really
need strong formatting or printing functionality, you may want to save as
Word format and print from Word.
