Send to OneNote 2007 does not work - how to make it work

After great anticipation, I bought and installed OneNote. But the Send to
OneNote 2007 function does not work so far as I can see. It doesn't work
from Internet Explorer or Adobe Reader. This makes OneNote virtually
worthless for me.

Any suggestions? This is a Windows XP system.

XP 64 Bit ?

Then (From MS):

The Send to OneNote 2007 print driver and the Send to OneNote addin for
IE 64-bit are unavailable on Windows computer running on a 64-bit OSes.

Workaround for missing print driver available.

XP 32 Bit :

1. IE: make sure the Command Bar is showing.
2. Adobe Reader: only "printing" with "Send to OneNote 2007" print
driver possible.

I actually solved this one by paying close attention to the error message I
was getting, which indicated that the Unfiled Notes could not be found. Then
I noticed that I could not open the Unfiled Notes from within OneNote - that
the file was from a later version.

Several weeks ago, I installed Office 2010 Professional Beta (mostly to look
at OneNote), but I removed it when I saw that Office 2010 could not coexist
with Office 2007. Since the computer is used primarily by my family for
school-related work (college down to third grade), I needed to keep it
working like everyone else expects. So I bought OneNote 2007, since it will
be a long time before I'm likely to go to Office 2010. Anyway, OneNote 2010
put an Unfiled Notes file, which was not removed at the uninstallation.
After I deleted this offending file, the Send to OneNote 2007 function works
like I expected it to from everything I tested it in - IE, Outlook, Word,
Adobe Reader....

So BE CAREFUL IF YOU INSTALL OFFICE 2010 AND THEN REMOVE IT!! The
uninstallation IS NOT COMPLETE.

Now, hopefully, I can take full advantage of OneNote 2007.

I've noticed in a number of posts that a suggestion is to move to OneNote
2010 now. I tried to do that, and it was a major disaster - one of the
stupidest moves I ever made. After uninstalling Office 2010 Beta, it took me
an inordinate amount of time and effort to "undo" the damage and get Office
2007 running acceptably again, especially Outlook and OneNote 2007 (which I
recently purchased separately).

OFFICE 2010 DOES NOT PEACEFULLY COEXIST WITH OFFICE 2007. Be very careful
if you try to do anything with Office 2010 unless you are going to change
over completely and never look back.

"Solving" problems by suggesting moving to ON 2010 is a little bit
irresponsible, in my opinion.

Is it a 64-bit XP version?

This is a 32-bit XP version, I believe.

To "believe" means: "not to know"!

What is it for certain?

Since the Send to OneNote 2007 now works as it should, it must be a 32-bit XP
system, it seems, since this function does not work with a 64-bit XP system.
How does one find out if the system is 32 or 64-bit?
