Could the fact that you gave the titles collapsed be the reason that you
did not use section groups so far?
I heavily use those (even nested)
On my desktop computer I hardly ever have the navigation pane collapsed.
There is enough space on the screen if the *task*pane* is closed *). And
navigating is ways easier this way.
And rearranging, deleting, renaming groups and sections and creating new
ones I always do there.
Different on my Tablet PC in Portrait mode.

A "pitfall" in the case given?
IMO it's only too natural that one has to climb up one level if one
wants to rename or delete a section group. Would otherwise be like using
a saw to cut off the tree's branch in which one is sitting.

*) BTW: I'm seriously suffering in ON2010 with the "language selection"
which forces the task pane popping up. {siiigh}. In ON2007 I had managed
to place a listbox for the selection in the toolbar. This is no longer
possible. As have to change the language every now and then it's
horrible now ...
