So I opened a document file from my email and worked on it for awhile. I
pressed the save button and the bar in the lower right hand corner saig word
is saving wo.doc. But now I cannot find said word document. I have looked in
my temporary internet files and cannot find it there.

    help!

Always save the email file to a known location on the hard drive before
working on it. Do not rely on the computer, Word or the email program to
save the data file if opened directly from the email.

Since you have the email, look at the attached file name and do a whole
system search for it using the search feature of Windows. You may find it.

Here's a tip on a free util that is VERY fast compared to the normal
    Windows search feature:

Search Everything - File Search Tool
    http://www.voidtools.com/

When you first start it, it creates an index, but even time spent building
an index is usually MUCH quicker than normal Windows search.
