After setting up an XP virtual machine on my new Windows 7 desktop, I
installed the application I needed XP to run. The app appeared to install
successfully, but when I try to start it I get the error mssg: "this app
cannot run as a terminal services client." This is a one person computer and
I need to run in XP. Help???

Since you decline to name the program you're having trouble with, it's
hard to do anything but make a wild guess. I think it's really a
Windows 7/MS Virtual Machine issue, not a Windows XP issue.

My guess is that Microsoft's virtual machine is coded to specifically
disallow this mystery application. I guess that you might have better
luck with a different virtualization product like Oracle VM VirtualBox.
