Restoring fonts

Windows 7 comes with way too many fonts for my taste and convenience.
I would like to get rid of some of them, but I am reluctant to delete
anything
I can't restore later. Is there a way to restore the default font set?

why would you want to delete fonts? it used to be an issue with win 95-98
but not anymore. just keep them and set the fonts you want.

Because my font viewer programs don't care if the fonts are hidden, or not.

Copy the ones you want to remove from the system but that you might
want to use later to another directory. Then uninstall them using
Control Panel.

Yeah, that's what I figured I'd do. I just didn't want to do that only
to discover
that I just had to click on "Restore default fonts" somewhere. :)
