I had IE8 on some computers and IE7 on others. And I was having the same
slowness with both IE7 and IE8. And IE6 is very snappy and beats all of
the other browsers out there. IE7 and IE8 can't say the same.

Working here under IE6 and Windows XP. Although there is a warning pop
up that IE6 is outdated and all, but it still works for me.

Hmm. I removed updates here. I only kept those from 2005 and earlier.

:Bill,

I did the updates from the update CDs I got from Gary Terhune. He had a 2 CD
set. I bought them from him when he put them out. I do not know what what
date it was.

I still cannot get the http://kentwired.com to work for me all the time.
Soetimes it does and then when I try to go to a story I get the same thing
except with the story link attached to the website address. I use DSL. I
even talked someone at the University Help Desk and they can't figure this
problem out. I get the problem intermittently.

Hi Angel! I have IE6 here without any updates under XP SP2 since 2005
(well except for KB909095 that doesn't effect IE6) and it is ok here. I
never got my Windows 98SE machine online. Tried dialup (I should cancel
it since I haven't used it in years) and WiFi. And for WiFi, I remember
there was a trick to get it to work like ipconfig /renew or something
for Windows 98SE (what a PIA). But that was years ago from the last time
I used it (back then I remembered what I needed to do and now I don't
recall anymore). So I still have no idea if it works on Windows 98SE IE6
yet. I did end up cleaning out my closet though, so I got something done
in that time digging my Windows 98SE machine out of the closet. ;-)

Titantv.com comes up like a rocketship on my IE8. Again, you operate under
the delusion that when you have a problem with your PC, everyone must have
the same problem.

I agree.

I'm running XPPro, SP3, and IE8, and titan.tv throws up its pages in under a
second. I wanted to lok at televisions, and the page with the links to TV
sites came up in an instant. I clicked on liquidation.com, and that page
built slowly, but this is not a function of titan.tv as much as it's a
function of liquidation.com and their servers.

I haven't been following along very well, but whatever the complaint is, it
isn't caused by IE8. Well, it could be IE8, but it is unique to the
complaining machine, it's not universal.
