My Quicklaunch toolbar keeps disappearing. XP SP3, I tried this fix but
it didn't work:

http://forum.piriform.com/index.php?showtopic=7898

Right click on START button, click properties, click TASKBAR, UNCHECK
"Show Quick Launch"

START> RUN> IE4UINIT.EXE (hit [ENTER])

Right click START button, click properties, click TASKBAR, CHECK "Show
Quick Launch"

Hi Donald,

I tried both approaches:

- IE4UINIT.EXE, REGSVR32 /i SHELL32.DLL, REGSVR32 /i BROWSEUI.DLL

- manually checking the registry for the correct entries.

Neither one worked. I'm sorry I wasn't clearer in the original message,
each time I boot the quicklaunch taskbar is not visible, but right
clicking on the task bar and checking it always makes it visible, and
all of the icons I've added in the past are always there.

Any other ideas?

Thanks,
Mike

You might try the Rregistry Tweak at the link that was posted by Elmo.

If no joy, then check your third party secruity application(s) to see if
they have a setting that is blocking changes to your Registry.

Good luck,
