Proofing Tools Office 2003

Hello,

is it possible to use a MSDN Retail Proofing Tools Version within a Company?
We can"t seem to find a company version of the proofing tools. It also seems
the proofing tools for office 2003 aren't sold anymore.

Thank you for the info in advance.

Check your MSDN licensing agreement to be sure. My guess is that unless
your company is a software development company (MSDN means "Microsoft
Software Developer Network") then no.

You're right, Microsoft Office Proofing Tools 2003 isn't sold anymore. I
had a devil of a time getting a copy four years ago.

So it seems like I have no chance getting a volume license or something like
that for the proofing tools anymore ?!?
Do you have a suggestion how we can do it? I need to put German proofing
tools on 6 computers.
Thank you!

If it's no longer available, neither is licensing.
And, the MSDN version, if it exists as part of the subscription, cannot be
used in a production environment.

If you need six copies, you would be better off upgrading to Office 2007. I
don't think you are going to find six copies of retail German Office 2003,
maybe not even if you live in Germany.

German Language Pack for Office 2007 is only $24.95, and there may be
multiple use versions. I have the German Language Pack for Office 2007 and
companion languages are English, French and Italian. Do you need English
language user interface? With Office 2007, user interface language is
included in the Language Pack. With 2003 Proofing Tools, that is only in
the language of the Office product version.

Ok thank you for your help, i will check on office 2007. although i am not
happy to be forced to upgrade, since our users are people of habit and it
will be hard to get them used to the new office. If you know what i mean.

Thanks again
