Hi Nick,

As the other replies have indicated, it's very difficult to understand
what you are asking!!

I'm guessing that "PPS" means you have a PowerPoint Show file (a *.PPS
file); and that you run load this file in some program: probably PowerPoint.

You'd like to copy and save a picture from the PowerPoint PPS file as a
stand-alone picture; eg, as a *.JPG file

And you'd like to save that copied Picture, in your Pictures folder
(usually C:/Documents and Settings\Nick\My Documents\My Pictures).

Is that the question? if so, what part isn't working? And in what way
doesn't it work?

BTW you may get better answers by asking in a PowerPoint-oriented group,
such as microsoft.public.powerpoint. If you are using a web browser
instead of a NNTP newsreader, you can find the various Microsoft
discussion groups here:

http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/list/en-us/default.aspx

Hope it helps a bit,

Andrew

If this is a PowerPoint show file and you have a version of PowerPoint (not
viewer) that will open the file do this:

Start PowerPoint and then open the PPS file in PowerPoint. Do a file save
AS a web page (.HTML) (not single file web page). The folder that is
created will strip out all the pictures (as well as sound files if any) and
put them in the folder. You can then use the picture as you wish.

Rename the PPS file to PPT then open it then copy the picture out.

--- Posting Hints ---

ALWAYS REVIEW your message before submitting it. You want someone OTHER
than yourself to understand your post. Also remember that no one here is
looking over your shoulder to see at what you are pointing. If you don't
well explain your situation by providing the details that you already know,
don't expect others to know what is your situation. Explain YOUR computing
environment and just what actions you take to reproduce the problem.

Often you get just one chance per potential respondent to elicit a reply
from them. If they skip your post because you gave them nothing to go on
(no details, no versions, no OS, no context) then they will usually move on
to the next post and never return to yours.
