Our company pastes data as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile) from Excel to word using font Arial 10. When pasted into Word, the information looks fine on screen, but when printed or print previewed, the spacing between characters is off. Particullarly a problem is the letter combination ve is squished together. Other spacing is a little off too. We have tried switching printers, reinstalling print drivers, changing from souce formating to destination formating, changing option from paste as apears on screen to paste as prints and vice-versa, copy as picture, etc. Nothing seems to work. It used to paste fine, but for no explicable reason, the format problems began at different times on each of our admin staffs computers. We are using Office 2007 and Windows XP. Please help!!!
you might try making a system restore point for today, then use the oldest restore point available on the pc and see if sending it back in time restores the feature. if not then bring the pc back to today. ------------ perhaps, there is also the option of adding a pdf print driver. though office has the capability of "saving as" pdf, you may also want to install a pdf printer driver like primo pdf. that way if printing pdf pans out for you, which I think it will,, then the pc users will have no problem with printing their doc's when they see a pdf printer and when they select print. even though office has a pdf maker, its initiated via "save as" menu option and can be easily overlooked by the user. -- db·´¯`·...¸><)))º> DatabaseBen, Retired Professional - Systems Analyst - Database Developer - Accountancy - Veteran of the Armed Forces - Microsoft Partner - @hotmail.com ~~~~~~~~~~"share the nirvana" - dbZen > > "ChristieAmes" <ChristieAmes@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message newsFE8DC3D-E50F-4CAE-8373-BB99EF6858DB@microsoft.com... > Our company pastes data as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile) from Excel to word > using font Arial 10. You need to to do the following: 1) Copy the text in/from excel 2) Switch to Word 3) Select "paste special" and select Microsoft Office Excel Worksheet Object This way you get an exact copy of excel and also you have the ability to edit it and do the re-calculations as you would in excel. hth ChristieAmes wrote: > > Our company pastes data as a Picture (Enhanced Metafile) from Excel to word > using font Arial 10.
