Organizing favorites?

are there some addons for IE that give you more flexibility to organize
favorites? For example to add a line seperator and to be able to place
certain favorites between line seperators. Similar to what Firefox can do.
Any suggestions? thanks

Hi,

Type

shell:favorites

in the IE address bar (and press 'Enter') to display the shell file browser.

Regards.

A shortcut to also doing Start -> Favorites, right-click, Open (or also
using Windows Explorer to open %userprofile%\Favorites). However, the order
shown in the Windows Explorer will not be reflected in the order shown in
the Favorites toolbar or in the Favorites pane. The order shown in Add To
Favorites list is also not affected (by the folder's list of subfolders or
by the Favorites pane view).

Open the Favorites pane inside of IE. Drag the folders around to the order
you want them. Since the Favorites toolbar, pane, and list show a list of
..url shortcuts and folders, there is no way to add group separators (i.e.,
delimiter lines) between some subset of them. There is possibly an add-on
that supplants the Favorites toolbar or pane with its own separate view.
Someone else might know of one but I doubt it will affect the views coded
into IE and instead would show its own list, like the Google Toolbar shows
its own set of bookmarks from your Google account.

Hmm, that's a new one for me; thanks. I do think however that IE's
Favorites; Organize Favorites; is slightly easier to use since it has the
options as buttons right at the bottom of the window.

You can also export Favorites as an HTML file, do whatever changes you wish
to it, in your favorite editor, and then replace it.
