Opening ealier MSOffice version files

I am using MSOffice 2007 professional and would like to open some files from
earlier MSOffice versions (1997, 2000). Is there a package or download that
can assist with this?

Office 2007 should be able to open both Office 2000 and 97 files. What
issue are you having?

Not knowing exactly which program created the files there are three KB
articles that may assist you.

Let us know if this helps or if you have more questions. The exact Office
product would help (Word 97, Excel 2000 etc. and exact wording of any error
messages.
