If you google for "freeware rar extractor" [without the quotes] you will
find more than you can ever use. Almost any of them should work fine with
any version of W7 but if you find one that won't try the next one on the
list...

Having recently been in your position, I discovered that 7 zip was the
best of those I tried.

Was not crazy about this one because it extracts to a subfolder of where
you are. There is a complicated way to tell it where to extract to but
I think 7zip is easier to use.

J-Zip. Based on 7-Zip but with a Winzip like front end.
