I don't know why you and your buds insist on trying to perpetuate a
totally debunked myth. Ubuntu or any other Linux may not be for everyone,
but it is certainly far from worthless. Many individuals and corporations
find it to be every bit as useful as win7.

Ubuntu has been free for years, yet it still is on less than one percent of
the desktops out there. Pretty damn useful if you ask me! Imagine a free
product that most reject. Now Windows 7 has been out less than a year and
is on about 90 million machines!

Just think. In 10 years, Linux will have 1.5% of the market! LOL!

But the amount of machines has increased immensely so every year that
one per cent are more computers. Fail math, nymshifter?

Most don't know about it. One cannot reject that which one doesn't know
anything about, dumb fuck.

And bought by people, most of whom don't know any better and get it

Which, if true, would mean over 20 million happy users.

Didn't fail math. Is your ill informed opinion that the number has
increased immensely. Look at the data.

But the ones that know about it, most reject it within days. You would
think word about a free operating system would spread like wildfire to
people who don't know about Ubuntu but guess what? Word isn't spreading
very fast. Most don't like Ubuntu. Get over it.

The facts are the facts. Don't believe? I don't give a rats ass.

Most people want an OS that works. Windows 7 does just that. There is no
need to worry about another system when what they have does the job. Oops.

Another ill informed opinion. Maybe 10 million have downloaded that
INFERIOR OS that most see as a TOY, but the number of users who use that
SHITTY Ubuntu is increasing at a very small number. Get over it.

Sorry. Didn't lie. The facts prove my statements. You have blinders on as
usual. Look at you. You are trying to shove Ubuntu down our throats in the
Windows 7 forum. How desperate can you be?

And the data says that there are a helluva lot more computers now than
in 2004 so the one percent is many more machines. Get it yet, dumb fuck?

Word of mouth takes time but once it gets rolling, it takes off. I see
Ubuntu machines in every single computer store here. A year ago I didn't.

In the USA, perhaps, as most US citizens are not very computer savvy. In
Europe and elsewhere, it's a different story. Most people here buy
computers to suit, not some HP or Dell crap laden with crap ware.

I am merely informing. Those who can think for themselves, will check it
out. Those who are stupid assholes like you won't and we would actually
prefer that you stick with Windows.

I am neither confused or stoned but that won't stop you from lying and
showing everyone that you have no principles.

That's an acronym for many things:

European Medicines Agency

European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products

European Agency for the Evaluation of Medicinal Products

European Medicines Evaluation Agency

Europe, Middle East and Asia (market area)

Extended Monthly Evacuation Allowance

European Music Educators Association

To which are you referring?

Oh dear, it's changing the subject to lap tops. Wipe drive. Install
Ubuntu. Problem solved for the cost of a CD. Now, back to the subject at
hand, the savvyness of US citizens vs. Europe. Care to comment on that
or just desperately look for *something* to discredit me so you don't
have to really reply to content?

Acer makes tons of desktops, that might be part of the reason why they took
over the #1 computer maker share from HP in 2008.

Here's one from the UK.

Here's one from Spain.

I don't have to discredit you, it's just too fun to pass up.
