I can't find a newsgroup for Office so I thought I would at least try here.

I would like to know how in Office Live Workspace (the Microsoft free web
space) I can share the URL with anyone without having to supply an email
address for anyone.

Thanks,

Gordo

Hi, Gordo.

Just click here:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsoft.public.office.setup

Unless blocked by something like a corporate firewall, that one click will:

1. Start your default newsreader (WLM?) if it isn't already running;
2. Create a News Account for you on the Microsoft public news server,
which is free and does not require a logon;
3. Connect you to the Office Setup newsgroup;
4. Download the 300 latest posts there; and
5. Display the newest message in the Reading pane.

That NG will get you started, then you can find plenty of other Office NGs
there to focus on your search. I haven't used the Office Live Workspace,
but there should be plenty of users there who can guide you.

On that Microsoft public news server, there are over 2,000 NGs in many
languages, and over 100 have "office" in their names.

For now. MS is on a control freak kick now (well, more than before) and
wants all forums to be on the web. You might have noticed that Windows 7
isn't on any of those MS news groups. Does that tell you anything?
