Using office XP, I getting Office Genuine Advantage has encountered a problem
    and need to close error.

In an older PC I uninstalled Office XP now I’m getting this error. Is there
a way to remove the problem?

I wanted to leave Office off and use the PC for something else.

Get rid of WGA and OGA because it is a spyware planted by Microsoft to curb
your temptation to use pirated Software.

    1.Run Registry Editor (RegEdit.exe).
2.Press Ctrl-F to open search box, and search for OGAAddin.connect registry
    key.
3.In the right pane, right click on Load Behavior and select Modify.
4.Change the value data from 3 to 0.
5.Repeat for each and every OGAAddin.connect found.

With this hack, Windows still treat OGA as installed, and will not prompt
    user to install again.
