Is there a 64bit version available. I recently downloaded the software and,
after installation, found that it is a 32bit version.

There is because I downloaded mine from MSDN and had my choice.

Here are some tips - URLs that might help concerning Office 2010 beta - 64
    bit version

(This information was assembled from the information contained in this
    resource -

    http://www.encouragersoftware.com/profile/microsoft-office-2010.html)

    First!

NO side by side installs 32 bit Office 2007 and 64 bit Office 2010 - so
essentially, IF you decide to test Office 2010 beta - 64 bit version, you
can't have previous Office versions installed.

Many are recommending use Office 2010 beta 32 bit only for best
    compatibility - NOTE previous exceptions*

How to Download and Install Microsoft Office 2010 Beta - Recipester - Wiki
    tutorial format

    * The following is related to running previous Office Suite and Office 2010
    Beta - 32 bit version

What happens to my current version of Microsoft Office when I download the
    Office 2010 Beta?

Upon installation of your Office 2010 Beta, you may be offered the option
    to Upgrade or Customize.

NOTE: IF you want to run Office 2007 AND Office 2010 Beta 32 bit version,
    you will need to Customzie!

Clicking Upgrade results in only the newer Office 2010 Beta product
remaining on your machine, but you may explicitly select to have multiple
versions of Office coexist with the exception of Outlook and SharePoint
Workspace (formerly known as Microsoft Office Groove 2007).

    http://www.microsoft.com/office/2010/en/faqs/default.aspx#24q

    * Can previous versions of Microsoft Office co-exist with the Office 2010
    Beta?

If you are offered an "Upgrade" upon installation, Office 2010 (with the
exception of Outlook) can co-exist with previous versions of Office by
selecting that option from within the "Customize" menu. Microsoft Office
Click-to-Run installations will co-exist with other installations of Office
    by default.

Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft SharePoint Workspace cannot co-exist with
previous versions so you will need to select one version of the program to
    have installed on your computer.

These applications cannot co-exist with previous versions so you will need
to select one version of the program to have installed on your computer.

If you are not offered the option to Upgrade or Customize, the default
behavior will be for your Office 2010 Beta to co-exist with your previous
Office product(s). (Office 2010 beta 32 bit is installed)
