office 2007 home & student on my laptop

Hello:
I purchased office home & student from a big box office store in janurary of
2009 for my desktop. I'm buying a laptop for my fiance for her first year of
grad school, and I'd like to know if I can install the same copy onto her
computer that i used on my laptop. All of the answers i find (including a
link to the (eula* sp?) agreement were pretty vague, but I'd rather not try
without a confirmed answer.

The cost of the program makes a difference in the quality of laptop I will
be buying, so It would be outstanding to find confirmation of this issue
asap.

Thanks for your time and all of your help,
Mike

As long as she is in the same location, then you should be OK.

Check the EULA on your own copy to see if there's more detailed info specific
to H&S Edition. All I've been able to find so far refers to installing on up
to three devices in one household.

I suppose that suggests that if you and your fiance live together, you're ok.
Otherwise, not.

We live in the same home, but she does travel, she's a biologist, and works
on the road a lot, as well as at school. Does that count as "in the same
location?"

Yes. It's the "same home" bit that's relevant...

The license states it is for non-commercial work only. IOW: Not for business
use.

(I did not write the license)

Yes you can as long as you still have the product key code that came
with the software when you purchased it.
