I have a list numbered like

    1. xxx
    2. yyy
    3. zzz

Just after this list I want to create another numbered list but ON will not
let me start from 1 but will continue to count from 4 and on.

How to start a list with 1 below a preceding list?

    I use ON 2010 beta

When you create number 4 item, right click on it and select: Begin a new list
    from here.
    That's it!

Where do you see "begin a new list from here"? When I right click on the 4th
item I don’t see any option like that...

Place the cursor on the number you want to change and left click.
This will 'select' all of the numbers. Then right click. The menu that
opens has the "Begin New List Here" option.

Backspace over the 4. and type "1." and let the Autocorrect feature create
the new list for you. Alternatively, the Numbering Task Pane there is a
setting to specify the starting number of the current sequence. Adding an
extra carriage return between the lists will prevent ON from confusing the
    two lists and their numbering.
