That says to me that you didn't get the new BIOS battery inserted
correctly.

Hi, Esteve.

Sounds like you need to have a serious conversation with ASUS.

This is not a Win7 problem. Heck, it's not even a Microsoft problem. The
problem is with either the BIOS or the motherboard, neither of which is
built by Microsoft. Once you solve the BIOS problem, post back here for any
help you might need to install and use Win7.

You might start with one of these three newsgroups:
alt.comp.periphs.mainboard.asus
alt.comp.periphs.mainboards.asus
alt.comp.pheriphs.mainboard.asus

(I don't know which is the REAL one probably the first - the others are just
misspellings.)

There are others, such as asus.support.english.mainboard. Just search your
news server's Newsgroups list to find them.

Usual sign of battery inserted upside down. Check the battery and how you inserted
it

Are you sure the new battery was good? I've seen some that were DOA.

Also make sure it's not installed upside down.

USB ports don't draw power from the BIOS battery.
