MS-Office 2010 64bit

Hi there,

does anyone have experience with MS-Office 2010 64bit, esp. with regard to
its alleged capability to handle files larger than 2 GB? We tried the latest
64bit-beta that is available for download, and found the following:

Excel: Will not complain at files > 2 GB, opens them, pulls in its 1,000,000
records, and just silently drops the rest of the file
Access: Will NOT open files > 2 GB, says "File has no data, or is too
large". That's what we are getting with earlier versions of Office, and also
with 32bit-versions, that cannot handle > 2 GB.

We are wondering wether this is due to the fact that this is still a beta,
or if maybe we have made some kind of mistake here.

Any input is welcome.

Thanks. I found out that MS-Access 2010 64bit still cannot go beyond 2GB
file size, and EXCEL only with a 3rd-party add-in, which I haven't tried
yet. So, basically, MS still hasn't fulfilled their promise regarding >2GB
for the 64bit-version.
