More on the Rental Scam from Microsoft

cody, aka alias the liar, has no idea what he is talking about...

You should first read what Microsoft is talking about. But you proly
won't understand it so maybe you should print it out and take it to an
adult and have them explain it to you.

Otherwise, you have two choices:
1) be smart and just STFU
or
2) keep making a complete an utter fool out of your self.

My money is on #2!

I read it and people who rent out computers like a cyber cafe need to
pay again for another license to do that. It's pretty simple. Too bad
you don't understand it. Next they'll charge you every time you fart
which, in your case, could get expensive.

Reread the article "sport". Your reading comprehension is lacking. No
wonder why you are stuck with Ubuntu. You completely missed the part about
the Internet cafes. They are stating that Internet Cafes can purchase a
license just like everyone else. When they "rent" their computers out,
there is no other charge. You are an IDIOT.

Dolt. First they need to purchase a Windows license just like everyone
else.

THEN, they need to buy the RENTAL license for an additional charge, which
is exactly what Alias wrote.

Sorry Frank, but you and the nymshifting wannabee are wrong again......

The page *you* linked says this....

1) Ensure all new and existing desktop PCs to be rented, leased, or
outsourced are running licensed, qualifying versions of the Windows
desktop operating system. Acquire Get Genuine Windows Agreement (GGWA)
SKUs for any mislicensed desktop PCs.

2) Acquire a Rental Rights for Windows license for every desktop PC to be
rented, leased, or outsourced.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

"This Rental Rights License was put into effect on January 1st, 2010.
CNet notes that in order for Microsoft to get companies to participate,
and to ease the burden of paying for something that was once free, they
are offering 30% off the license fees to those who sign up by June 30th.
Keep in mind, the rental fee is on top of the cost of the software
itself. The discounted prices are:

* Office Professional - $58
* Office Standard - $45
* Windows - $23"

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Therefore, you need to ALREADY HAVE PURCHASED A LICENSE FOR WINDOWS, and
then you need to PURCHASE a rental license to be able to 'legally' rent
out that PC.

That is not the point *DOLT*! Your ass-munch buddy cody headlined it as
a "scam", which it isn't. It is something that has been going illegally
for quite some time but can now be done legally.

Address the content of the post.

Why is MS forcing some to pay twice for the same thing ?

Geeez---is---f'n crust....can you get the MS c*ck any further down your
throat ?!?!?!?!

If anything was verifiable, I'd bet money....a *lot* of money, that you
would had no idea that MS claimed the rental places were doing anything
'illegal' before this rental license thing came up one or two days ago.

Liar.

Don't change the subject, Mr Oops. How would you feel if the hardware
manufacturer's charged you for the machine and then charged you rent to
use it at a cyber cafe? Would your pea sized brain consider that to be a
scam?
