That file keeps track of "quirks" of various computers. They
have a large number of computers listed in the file, together
with features of the computer that are broken. This is an
example.

[ToshibaSantaClara1]
memory=f000,e010,S,"TOSHIBA"
memory=f000,e008,S,"v"
pointer=f000,,e000,,9,">=",B,31
pointer=f000,,e000,,9,"<=",B,36
memory=f000,e00a,S,"."
install=NO_ISA_IRQ_SHARING_INSTALL

The "NO_ISA_IRQ_SHARING_INSTALL" describes a workaround,
to make the installation work.

Perhaps your Toshiba laptop, matches an entry in that file ?
If you'd stated the model number of your Toshiba, it would
be easier to figure out. When you post in the Win2K group,
don't forget to include the model number.

Pentium III class, 440BX chipset.

Maybe the biosinfo.inf file really is missing, but more likely,
the install is running into a problem while processing that file.

Are there any BIOS settings on your computer, that need to be
changed, before the installation can take place ?

Also, using a search engine, I notice that error message comes
up when the computer is *booting*, rather than this happening
sometime during the install. The install may in fact be finished,
and then the computer is failing to boot correctly.
