Missing Local Settings Folder

I recently installed the OEM version of XP Pro, and it seems just fine;
however, I found an oddity.

The app I'm running should have a folder like:

C:/Documents and Settings\joe\Local Settings\Application
Data\WSentinel\config.txt

But it has no such path, except for C:/Documents and Settings\joe\

I only have a few apps installed at this point. SeaMonkey browser, Paint
Shop Pro, and some accurate time apps, which are very small.

Comments?

=============================
Local Settings is a Hidden folder.

Go into...Folder Options / View tab...and tick...
'Show hidden files and folders'...then Local
Settings will be visible.

Start / Control Panel / Folder Options / View tab

In addition to John Inzer telling you it is hidden...

Just type in the path.

Start button --> RUN --> Type in (with quotation marks):
"C:/Documents and Settings\joe\Local Settings\Application Data\WSentinel\"
--> Click OK.

Might try just to the "Application Data" level...

I was on the right track, but couldn't find the un-hide control. What
baffled me entirely is that a search for the file didn't show a thing. I
guess that's part of the "hidden" game. I'll try your suggestions later
in the morning.

When you did the search...did you
include 'Hidden files and folders'?

To show hidden files and folders, go to the "folder options" tab on the
control panel. Then select the "view" tab. The presented list has a
button labeled "show hidden files and folders". Check this button. The
presented list has another box labeled "hide protected system files".
Uncheck this box.

To reverse these changes, check the box labeled "hide protected system
files" and check the button labeled "do not show hidden files and folders"
