In the control panel I see a listing for"Microsoft XPS Document
Writer" when I was setting up my new printer.

Was just wondering if someone could tell me what this is and does.

TIA

Easy squeezy lemon peezy ... one goes to their favorite Search engine.
One types in Microsoft XPS Document Writer, one presses the Enter key,
and voila. Sorry, you'll have to do the reading yourself -

Microsoft XPS Document Writer (MXDW)

and

it is a XP news group.

Am running XP service pack 3.

TIA

Obviously he also asked for Office 2007 !

And Office 2007 installs XPS.
And XPS is a prerequisite for OneNote 2007.

Not always the case.

Many Vista users post to this news group.
