Microsoft Ultimate Deal

I am interested in purchasing the Microsoft Ultimate Deal. it's priced at
$59. I've seen them elsewhere for about $500. Is there a catch somewhere
for why the price is so low? I am a starving student and can't afford to be
taken by a scam. I own a Dell Vista laptop. Does anyone know the pros and
cons in purchasing this product at this price?

Perhaps you mean the Ultimate Steal? This is a legitimate offer from
Microsoft to bona fide students like yourself. The software you receive is
the same as you would buy in a store, only the price is much less.

Why does Microsoft do this? Is it because a huge corporation has a soft spot
for starving students? Hardly. It's because once you get used to working
with Office, and once you have a large collection of files created with
Office, you are less likely to want to use another office suite (like Corel
or Open Office) once you graduate.

By getting you 'hooked' on Office at an early age, Microsoft hopes to create
a future market for itself. Like the campus drug dealer.

Just be sure you are buying the genuine Ultimate Steal. Get it here:
